Thermowells for temperature sensors
Introduction to thermowells
Thermowells are mainly used to protect temperature sensors (such as thermocouples, thermistors, etc.) inserted into pipes or containers from harsh environments such as high temperature, corrosion, fluid impact, etc. Thermowells allow the sensor to be removed and replaced without stopping the process.
Our thermowells are machined from a whole bar stock, which is safer and more reliable. The standard thread of the thermowell is 1/2 NPT or G1/2, and we also provide other customized specifications. Please send an email and send a drawing to get a quick quote.
Selecting the right thermowell can significantly improve the reliability and economy of temperature measurement.

Application fields of thermowells
⑴ Industrial Process Monitoring
● Used for monitoring the temperature of media in pipelines and reaction vessels in the oil refining, petrochemical, power, chemical, pharmaceutical and other industries to ensure stable measurement in high temperature, high pressure or corrosive environments.
● Protect thermocouples from mechanical damage and chemical erosion in high temperature processes such as steel smelting and ceramic production.
● Suitable for the food processing industry to meet hygiene standards and prevent media contamination.
⑵ Energy and Equipment Management
● Measure the temperature of hot steam pipes and boilers. For example, the heat sleeve thermocouple is specially designed for such scenarios and can withstand high-flow steam shock.
● Monitor the operating temperature of gas turbines, boilers and other equipment in power systems to ensure safety and efficiency.
⑶ Research and Laboratory
● Provide stable temperature measurement methods for laboratories to support precise control of extreme conditions in physical and chemical experiments.
